Hurricane Erin Brings Dangerous Conditions to New Jersey
As Hurricane Erin approaches the East Coast, New Jersey is experiencing extremely dangerous conditions, with rough surf and strong rip currents. According to Fox Weather Meteorologist Bob Van Dillen, the hurricane is only a few hundred miles off the coast, bringing hazardous weather to the area.

Boating Accident in Little Egg Harbor
Little Egg Harbor, NJ – A tragic boating accident occurred on Sunday morning in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey, resulting in the death of one person and injuring another. According to the New Jersey State Police, the incident happened near the ICW marker 116 in Little Egg Harbor.

New Jersey State Police Troopers responded to the scene shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 27-foot robal ship encountered a large wave, causing both passengers to be ejected. The boat continued and struck one of the occupants, resulting in fatal injuries to 56-year-old Karl Chen from Princeton. Another occupant suffered minor injuries.
Investigation Ongoing
The state police said that the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by Hurricane Erin, which is expected to bring large waves to the Jersey Shore. 
Britta Merwin, meteorologist of Fox Weather, reports on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk in New Jersey, where the beaches are closed in front of the hurricane Erin. The hurricane is expected to bring the largest waves to the jersey shore from Thursday.
