His exceptional talent was evident when he won the 32nd annual CalChess Scholastic competition high school bracket as a fifth-grader, becoming the youngest champion in tournament history. Naroditsky’s achievements continued to impress, including his victory in the Under-12 World Youth Chess Championship in Antalya, Turkey, where he employed the “Sicilian Defense” to defeat Russia’s Ivan Bukavshin.
