Kate Middleton’s Annual Christmas Service: A Night of Love and Unity

It was a festive night for the royals as Kate Middleton’s annual “Together at Christmas” carol service took place in London on Friday night. The event, which was held at Westminster Abbey, was attended by Kate and Prince William’s three kids, who added their own special touch to the celebration.

Attendees were able to line the Christmas tree outside Westminster Abbey with their names and notes, and Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, took part in this activity. The royal children were pictured writing their names on paper and adding it to the tree, while their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, looked on.

The theme of this year’s service was “love in all its forms,” and it was held at the same location where the prince and princess tied the knot in 2011. The event was a celebration of love and unity, and the royal family was grateful to everyone who helped make it a special and memorable night.

A Family Affair

Although the daughters of former Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were absent from the event, they did receive personal invitations from Princess Catherine’s office. According to royal commentator Neil Sean, this was an olive branch from Princess Kate after King Charles stripped Andrew of his royal titles in October.

Princess Eugenie, 35, took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the invitation and wished the Prince and Princess of Wales a special evening at the carol service. She also praised the message of love and hope that the event promoted.

The royal family’s decision to strip Andrew of his titles was reportedly supported by the rest of the family, including Queen Camilla and Princess Kate. A source close to the family told People that they “sensed a female touch” in the Palace’s official statement at the time, which led to speculation that the two women had a hand in the decision.

A New Chapter

The royal family is “definitely looking to the future,” according to the insider, and this decision may be part of that. William and Catherine are moving soon, and all their comments have been about looking to the future. Queen Camilla has been supported organizations helping victims of domestic abuse, assault, and rape for many years, and her influence may have played a role in the decision.

Despite King Charles and Andrew allegedly not being close, the source added that the monarch would still feel some care and affection for his brother. However, he would rather Andrew dealt with the situation himself.
