Chargers’ Playoff Hopes Dashed by Patriots in 16-3 Loss
The Los Angeles Chargers’ postseason run came to an abrupt end on Sunday night, as they fell to the New England Patriots 16-3 in a hard-fought battle at Foxborough, Massachusetts. The loss marked another one-and-done exit for the Chargers, who have struggled to find consistency in the playoffs.
Despite a solid performance from their defense, the Chargers’ offense was unable to capitalize on prime opportunities, mustering only three points against a stout Patriots defense. The team’s quarterback, Justin Herbert, fought gamely, running with abandon despite a broken left hand, but was unable to spark any offensive consistency.

Patriots’ Defense Proves Too Strong
The Patriots’ defense, which has been a staple of the team’s success, proved too strong for the Chargers’ offense. The team’s tight end, Hunter Henry, who spent his first three seasons with the Chargers, broke open the game with a 28-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. The touchdown was the only one of the game and proved to be the decisive factor in the Patriots’ victory.
