The Osbournes Share Heartwarming Tribute from King Charles After Ozzy’s Passing

The Osbournes are shedding light onto King Charles’ touching tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, and their kids Kelly and Jack, sat down for the first time since Ozzy’s death at age 76 in July.

“We got a lovely letter from the King,” Jack, 40, revealed.

“Our King is an amazing person,” Sharon, 73, gushed. “He is an amazing person, not just because he wrote to us when Ozzy passed, but if he did it for us, know he does it for many, many, many people.”

“Here’s a man that does know what’s going on in the street with people. Not just politics, not just you know, here’s a man that cares about the environment, animals,” she continued. “He cares about many, many, many things.”

Sharon also shared that the monarch, 76, reached out to their family in 2003 after Ozzy was hospitalized following a motorbike accident.

“He’s got a good heart. He didn’t have to do certain things that he’s done for Ozzy,” the former talk show host stated. “He is a good, caring man with a good heart.”

A Longstanding Relationship with the Royal Family

Sharon called her and her late husband “royalists.”

“We respect him, we respect his family,” expressed the star. “And he, again, took the time out of his day to write us, have it hand-delivered to us, a note from the King for Ozzy’s passing with his condolences, and that says so much. ”

Ozzy’s family first announced his death on July 22. The Prince of Darkness’s cause of death was later determined to be from cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” they said in a statement to The Post. “He was his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

A Tribute from the King’s Soldiers

Ozzy was laid to rest in his hometown of Birmingham, England. Those in attendance visited the Black Sabbath bridge and bench on Broad Street, where fans left tributes, flowers and letters.

That same day, King Charles’ soldiers paid tribute to Ozzy, as seen in a TikTok video.

The Band of the Coldstream Guards performed the Black Sabbath song “Paranoid” during the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Ozzy previously performed at the “Party at the Palace” concert at Buckingham Palace in 2002, celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee.

After Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022, Ozzy had nothing but kind words to say about the King.

“He’s a very, very nice man. He’s always treated me with the utmost respect,” he told The Post at the time.

A Family’s Gratitude and Reflection

In Wednesday’s podcast episode, Kelly, 41, tearfully shared that she “just wanted more time” with her dad.

Jack replied, “But you’re always gonna want more time.”

“You’re always gonna want more time. And this is a huge example for our little family. Time is so precious,” Sharon chimed in. “And don’t waste time with anyone. It’s like we always used to say, Daddy and I would say, ‘You can’t buy time.’ If only.”

Kelly, meanwhile, detailed the “one resentment” she has about her final days with Ozzy.

“I always heard Dad going down the stairs in the morning,” she recounted. “And the first thing I always said to him was, ‘Morning, Dada, I love you.’ And I’d call it out, and he’d say, ‘I love you more’ and walk down the stairs.”

“And on the morning that he passed, I didn’t say it,” Kelly confessed.

Sharon reassured her daughter that Ozzy was well aware.

“He knew. He knew so much.”

“One thing, Ozzy was great, and he was a master of acting — not dumb… checked out. He was a master of that,” Sharon elaborated. “He knew everything that was going on.”
