Toronto International Film Festival Highlights

“Good Fortune” Premiere

“Good Fortune” is a comedy with a distinctly current edge, tackling issues of income inequality and social satire. The film follows a low-level guardian angel who switches the life of a struggling film editor with that of a wealthy tech investor.
“Canceled: The Paula Deen Story” Premiere

“Canceled: The Paula Deen Story” is a documentary that analyzes the tabloid feeding frenzy that surrounded celebrity TV chef Paula Deen after she admitted to using a racial slur. The film features contemporary interviews with Deen and her sons, offering a complex look at the cancelation machine.
