Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazards
Over 100,000 Paris Hilton mini fridges have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to reports of overheating and catching on fire. The recall affects the “Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridge” in various models and colors, including 4-liter and 10-liter versions in pink, white, aqua, and hot pink. These mini fridges are designed to store beauty products like skin care, but their faulty design poses a significant risk to consumers.
Recall Details and Affected Models
The CPSC has identified the model numbers and serial numbers of the affected units. The recalled models include PH11887, PH11887-1, PZB02-E001, PH12540, PZP01-E001, and PZW01-E001, with serial numbers starting with 2024, 202206-202406, and 202206-20240704020. Only mini fridges manufactured before August 2024 are affected by this recall. Consumers can check the model number on the back or bottom of the fridge to determine if their unit is part of the recall.
The recalled products were sold online through various websites, including Walmart.com and Amazon.com, as well as in stores at Walmart and Ross, from November 2022 to July 2025. Although no injuries have been reported, there have been at least 27 reports of the mini fridges overheating and catching on fire, prompting the CPSC to issue this recall.
Refund and Recall Procedure
To receive a refund, consumers must fill out an online form and submit three photographs to the importer, Epoca International LLC. The required photos include one with “RECALL” written on the fridge’s door with a permanent marker, another showing the label with the model number and serial number, and a third photo demonstrating that the consumer has cut and unplugged the cord. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the Paris Hilton mini fridges, unplug them, and register for the recall at www.epoca.com/minifridgerecall.
This recall highlights the importance of consumer safety and the need for manufacturers to prioritize product design and testing.
