Dempsey and Dane starred together in “Grey’s Anatomy” from 2006 to 2012, playing the iconic characters Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd and Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan, respectively. Dempsey shared, “We were trying to get him in [“Memory of a Killer”], but unfortunately, the progression of his disease made it virtually impossible.”
