The accident happened on August 31, which coincidentally was his daughter’s fifth birthday. Taccone recounted the incident from his hospital bed during an episode of the “Lonely Island & Seth Meyers” podcast, where he expressed his gratitude for being alive. He borrowed ladders from his neighbors, including one that was described as “bad” due to its lack of a footing mechanism. Despite the warnings, Taccone used the ladder, which ultimately led to his fall.
The Accident and Aftermath
Taccone’s fall was a traumatic experience, and he even had time to think, “I’m going to die” as he was falling. Fortunately, he landed on his butt, which possibly prevented more severe injuries. The comedian underwent surgery and is currently recovering. His doctors expect him to walk again within three to six months, a prognosis that brings hope for a full recovery.
