Incident Details
According to the criminal complaint, a 14-year-old girl reported that Miller approached her at the pool, made inappropriate comments, and groped her while swimming underwater. When she tried to get away, he followed her and grabbed her foot. The girl told him to stop, and he claimed he was trying to get his daughter, who was also in the pool. However, video footage showed Miller throwing the girl into the water after she tried to back away from him.
A 13-year-old boy also reported that Miller “bear hugged” him from behind, running his hands down his body and grabbing his crotch. The incident was thoroughly investigated, and Miller’s sentence includes a stay of imposition, which means the felony conviction will be considered a misdemeanor if he successfully completes probation.
Sentence and Probation
Miller’s sentence includes four years of probation, and he pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct of a minor. A second count against him involving another teenager was dismissed at sentencing as part of a plea deal he reached with prosecutors. The sentence aims to hold Miller accountable for his actions while also providing an opportunity for rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
