Jason Ritter’s Ideal Sunday in Los Angeles
Actor Jason Ritter, known for his role as attorney Julian Markston in the CBS legal drama “Matlock,” shares his ideal Sunday in Los Angeles. Ritter, a 45-year-old L.A. native, is part of an entertainment family that includes his late father, sitcom legend John Ritter. He didn’t offer many details about the new season of “Matlock” but did say viewers can expect more on-the-edge-of-your-seat episodes.
Ritter still gets a thrill when he thinks about the cast he gets to work with, which includes Skye P. Marshall, Beau Bridges, and Oscar winner Kathy Bates. “You almost, but not quite ever, forget that you’re working with an absolute acting legend,” Ritter says. “Kathy is so sweet and so kind and such a team player and collaborator that it helps to sort of stop that voice in your head from going like ‘It’s Kathy Bates!’ every time it’s a scene with her.”
A Day in the Life of Jason Ritter
Ritter’s ideal Sunday starts at 7 a.m. with a quiet morning routine, making breakfast and lunch for his 6-year-old daughter. He then spends time scrolling through social media while his daughter watches an episode of her favorite show.
Morning Coffee and Miniature Golf
At 9:30 a.m., Ritter and his family head out for a coffee stop at Go Get Em Tiger, one of their favorite coffee places in L.A. They then spend time playing miniature golf at Castle Park or going on a “beauty” walk around the neighborhood, collecting flowers and leaves.
Lunch and Afternoon Activities
For lunch, Ritter enjoys the Alimentari Chopped Salad at Angelini Osteria, which comes with avocado, chicken, bacon, currants, and almonds. He also recommends their french fries as a safe option when they’re on the road. In the afternoon, Ritter visits the Museum of Jurassic Technology, a place he loves to explore and often takes out-of-town guests to experience.
