High School Basketball Results: A Recap of Monday’s Games

Monday’s high school basketball games saw a plethora of exciting matchups, with several teams showcasing their skills and determination on the court. In the City Section, the Amit team emerged victorious with a score of 43-25 against Valley Oaks CES, while Arleta secured a 70-59 win over Monroe. Bell also had a successful game, defeating South East with a score of 52-34.

In other City Section games, Bravo edged out View Park with a narrow 83-82 win, and CALS Early College triumphed over Magnolia Science Academy with a score of 36-20. Contreras had a dominating performance, defeating Belmont 86-15, and Downtown Magnets secured a 65-61 win over Lincoln. East College Prep also had a successful game, defeating Brio College Prep 51-38.

Southern Section and Intersectional Games

In the Southern Section, ACE defeated PAL Academy with a score of 82-54, and Alta Loma secured a 48-41 win over Diamond Ranch. Anaheim also had a strong game, defeating Magnolia 70-27, while Arroyo triumphed over El Monte with a score of 71-28. Bell Gardens defeated Glenn 68-39, and Bonita secured a 60-56 win over San Dimas.

In Intersectional games, Compton defeated Crenshaw with a score of 74-53, and Gahr secured a 76-52 win over Rancho Dominguez. Marquez also had a successful game, defeating Whittier 65-30, and New Roads triumphed over Animo Venice with a score of 47-28. San Gabriel defeated Sotomayor 66-39, showcasing their skills and teamwork.

Girls’ Basketball Results

In the City Section, Animo Robinson secured a 37-33 win over Smidt Tech, and Animo Watts defeated Locke 55-29. Brio College Prep also had a successful game, defeating East College Prep 24-20, and Contreras triumphed over Belmont with a score of 42-4. Crenshaw defeated Torres 41-16, and Granada Hills Kennedy secured a 67-15 win over Reseda.

In the Southern Section, Aliso Niguel defeated Edison 60-23, and Arroyo secured a 34-25 win over El Monte. Arroyo Valley also had a successful game, defeating San Gorgonio 42-29, and Baldwin Park triumphed over La Puente with a score of 60-15. Bonita defeated San Dimas 48-39, and Burbank secured a 64-40 win over Pasadena.
